国際広報チーム記者会見リポート。当日記者会見に参加した生徒たちの感想をどうぞ。

【記者会見概要】

　7月1日、東京の日本橋Xタワー7階で、クラーク記念国際高等学校が１つの大きな志を発表しました。革新的な教育カリキュラムで知られるクラーク国際は、80歳でエベレスト登頂を成し遂げた冒険家の三浦雄一郎が校長をしています。

その志とは？クラーク国際はエベレストよりもさらに高い頂である、宇宙に挑戦します。

東京大学　航空宇宙工学専攻の中須賀真一教授、日本人女性として2番目に宇宙に行った宇宙飛行士の山崎直子さん、そしてSpaceBD社の永崎社長とクラーク国際の教員・生徒が記者会見を行い。次年度、上記の素晴らしい方々からご指導をいただきながら、高校生が超小型衛星を打ち上げ、管理をする計画について発表しました。

クラーク国際のこの計画は、コロナで疲弊しているこの世の中に希望をもたらす輝かしいニュースとなりました。

On the 7^th floor of the X-Nihonbashi Tower in Tokyo, on the first day of July, Clark Memorial International High School set out on its greatest ambition. Clark is a school known for its innovative education curriculum and is headed by Principal Yuichiro Miura, a man who successfully reached the top of Mt. Everest at the age of 80. The challenge? To reach the highest place possible throughout our universe, space!

Shinichi Nakasuka, professor of Aeronautics and The Astronautics School of Engineering at the University of Tokyo, Naoko Yamazaki, the second woman to have visited space, and Masatoshi Nagasaki, President of Space BD Inc all participated in the event and will continue working within the project.

Gaining support from numerous business leaders Clark Memorial International High School has developed and introduced the plan of launching a micro satellite. The satellite will be designed and manufactured by the students and will be assisted by several of their supporters. It is hoped that the launching of this satellite will also bring a much needed shining light as we continue to struggle through the current pandemic.

記者会見に参加し、何社かのメディアの方に取材していただき、このニュースが配信されることで、皆さんに高校生でもこんなことができると思ってもらえると感じています。

To be completely honest, I was very nervous on the day. I’m not very good a presenting in front of other people but I truly believe that this is a program that is worth giving my every effort.　The event gave me the opportunity to meet with people from NASA. Just the chance to only shake their hands was a wonderful experience that I will never forget.　There were many famous publications in attendance and I believe that this will help to spread news and information relating to this project.

　本音をお話しすると、記者会見当日はとても緊張していました。そのため、皆様の前でとても良いスピーチができませんでしたが、このプログラムに全力で取り組んでいきたいと思っています。この記者会見では、NASAのアジア代表の方とお会いする機会を得られました。ただ握手しただけでしたが、忘れがたい良い経験になりました。そして、多くのマスコミの方々が記者会見に来ていらして、このプロジェクトが多くの方に広がっていくと信じています。

【鈴木梨々子　感想】

First, I truly appreciate the opportunity that I was given to MC this event. I was very nervous but I enjoyed the time talking with Yamazaki san and Nakasuka san. I have presented in front of large groups of people in the past but this was the first time presenting to those from outside of the student body and teachers at my school. Because of this, I as very worried about the role and responsibility I was given. Even though I made mistakes, I appreciate that everybody encouraged and supported me throughout the event. This helped me to relax greatly. As I was involved a the commencement event for this project I feel that I am a part of it now and I will continue to be so. I will do my best to ensure that everybody is kept informed and up to date on progress.

記者会見に司会として参加させていただき、ありがとうございました。宇宙飛行士の山崎さんや中須賀教授と直接お話しできる貴重な機会で、緊張しながらも楽しい時間を過ごすことができました。今まで学校説明会などで人前に出ることは何度かあったのですが、外部の方がたくさん見ている中でクラーク高校の代表として公の場に立つということは初めての経験でした。そのため正直、練習している間は自分よりも上手く司会の役割をこなせる人がいるのではと不安に思っていました。しかし、一部噛んでしまったり言葉に詰まったりしてしまっても、他のメンバーや先生方はそれを咎めることもなく励ましてくださったおかげか、リラックスして本番に臨むことができました。記者会見に参加してからますますプロジェクトが始まるという実感が湧き、実際に活動する日が今から楽しみです。これからも広報の活動を頑張っていきますので、よろしくお願いします。
